Bio

Laura LaPiana, Psy.D. is a Program Therapist at Infinity Treatment Center. With a background in Marriage, Family, Child Therapy, Dr. LaPiana treats individuals, couples and families with a broad range of presenting problems, specializing in Addiction and compulsive behaviors. With more than 25 years of experience working with substance use disorders and families, Dr. LaPiana brings a comprehensive understanding of the multiple components of addiction, relapse prevention, family dynamics and shame resilience recovery to her work.

Dr. LaPiana’s experience within clinical settings includes private practice, hospitals, residential and day-treatment, public schools and colleges, and county facilities. She assists those that are struggling with the external, practical needs necessary for long-term sobriety. However, she has a special focus in helping people deepen their awareness of their inner-life in order to heal, improve their well-being, and manage relationships.

Dr. LaPiana received her doctorate from California School of Professional Psychology, and earned a Certificate in Psychoanalysis from the Wright Institute Los Angeles. Additionally, Dr. LaPiana received a certification in Nutrition from Cornell University, which enables her to address the nutritional components of mood and behavior, and assist people in making relevant changes in overall self-care practices.

In addition, Laura LaPiana is a Clinical Psychologist and has her own private practice in Agoura Hills, California.
